Commonwealth of Learning (COL)
COL is an intergovernmental organization created by Commonwealth Heads of Government to encourage the development and sharing of open learning/distance education knowledge, resources and technologies. COL is helping developing nations improve access to quality education and training.

The Pan-Commonwealth Forum on Open Learning is held biennially, co-hosted by the Commonwealth of Learning (COL) with different partners in different regions of the Commonwealth each time.

Millenium Development Goals

The Jamaican Association for Distance and Open Learning
The Jamaican Association for Distance and Open Learning (JADOL) is a national association that aims to promote, enhance and develop the practice of distance and open learning in Jamaica for individual, institutional and na tional development.

The Public Knowledge Project
A federally funded research initiative that seeks to improve the scholarly and public quality of academic research through innovative online environments such as this one.

The University of the West Indies Distance Education Centre (UWIDEC)
UWIDEC is the arm of The University of the West Indies (UWI) that aims to provide world class distance education for Caribbean people, and in so doing help UWI achieve its mandate of widening access to tertiary level education and training, thereby unlocking the potential of the region for growth and development.
